As a private individual, commissioning a piece of work can seem daunting if you’ve not done it before, so here’s the process to reassure you that you’ll be in safe hands…
• Free consultation: Getting to know you 🙂
This is where we meet to discuss your aspirations, practical requirements, timeline and budget. It’s an opportunity to bounce ideas around and to see if we’re a good fit for each other. We’ll also clarify the brief to ensure we both understand the goal, any provisos and deadlines. There’s no obligation to go ahead.
• Design Stage 1: Initial rough ideas and cost scoping
I’ll consider your brief and come up with some initial ideas with an idea of costs. We will then meet to discuss these and see if you wish to go to the next stage.
• Design Stage 2: Develop and refine design ideas. Identify appropriate production methods and materials and a realistic lead time.
• Production: Making it happen – I will commit to a timescale, give you progress updates along the way and deliver your unique piece.
• Completion – Hurrah!
