I love opening people’s eyes to the exciting possibilities of design and craft. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience, enabling people to discover the joy of making.
I work with adults, young people and children, people with learning difficulties and people with chronic pain.
I can tailor workshops to specific groups such as corporate well-being events, staff development and hen / stag parties. Get in touch to discuss what you’d like.
My workshops are designed to be both enjoyable and therapeutic. A space where learning new skills and building on existing ones will bring inspiration, a sense of achievement, creative conversations and most importantly some fun – all elements that are so important for well-being. I pay special attention to the effective use of tools to accomplish a high standard of finish. My aim is to create a relaxed atmosphere, where people can escape their everyday challenges and immerse themselves in a creative process. I’ve received glowing feedback from students over the years and am delighted to be able to have such a positive impact.
I devise and deliver workshops in the following:
• Paper sculpting • Wirework • Machine Embroidery • Animation • Collage • Mood-boards • Craft • Garment & Soft Furnishing Repair •
Participating online in the paper sculpture workshop with Dan Maier was a real treat and a truly inspiring eye-opener to this fascinating world. Throughout the day we were taught so much from simple practical skills such as how to score paper properly, cut accurately with scissors, right through to the more complex moulding and creative side of making a 2D form into a 3-dimensional one! By the end of the day I was amazed at what I had achieved and saw paper through different eyes. It was also lovely to meet other participants, share ideas and it has opened up a new world! Thank you Dan, what a really inspiring teacher you are.
