The clients loved the Southgate Art Crossing I designed and had recently bought a VW campervan which they were doing up. The art crossing design style was perfectly suited to the van, so I developed it to fit the van in consultation with the clients.
We considered realising the design in a vinyl wrap but decided to have it painted for a more permanent finish.

“Our campervan was a dowdy 30 something year old in need of a makeover. We had in mind a bright modern colour, but every time we passed Dan’s multi-coloured art crossing, we thought “why not?” After a thorough process of design and review, we were convinced that the answer was “no reason not too!”. The opportunity to watch a master at work followed, as pantones were adjusted, finishing options investigated and a paint shop finally selected. Dan left no stone unturned. The end result? In our opinion and all who have seen her, Dotty (she has a name now) is a triumph, she and her creator have exceeded our wildest dreams.”

Richard is regular stopped by passers-by who admire the van but one morning he came out to find the driver’s window had been graffitied in lipstick with: “BEST VAN EVER!”
