The brief was to create works on the themes of different art movements for each deck to help passengers orientate themselves on board. I created a series of footwear whose silhouettes were all in the style of the fashion of the era of each art movement and decorated in the style of that movement.
This Romantics themed shoe was inspired by Gainsborough’s painting: Mr and Mrs Andrews. Representing Georgian fashion style, it was made using taffeta, lace and silk.
