Dan was commissioned by TfL to transform a disused waiting room at Wembley Central station which had become an eyesore. The brief was to brighten up the station platform and create a positive welcome to Wembley, whilst also incorporating references to the area’s local heritage.
The artwork celebrates Wembley as the proud home of the world-famous stadium and arena. It captures the historic twin towers that defined the skyline from 1923 to 2000, along with the 133 metre high arch that succeeded them in 2007.
