Taking Art Deco as my inspiration, I designed this installation for the Enfield Winter Lights Festival to highlight The Southgate Club, a heritage building on Southgate high street in London. The colours are placed to give an abstract interpretation of a sunrise with the rich, warm red, yellow and orange at the centre and blue, pink and magenta at the edges representing the night sky. My hand drawn artwork was digitally rendered and printed on adhesive vinyl. The result was not only a night-time spectacle as planned but had the bonus of sunshine pouring through during the day, creating a warm ambiance inside the club.
