Giant Whale for Pinnochio at the National Theatre

I was commissioned by MDM Props to create the 30 foot long fabric body for this giant whale. Other prop makers at MDM built the frame, created the head and painted sections of it. The body was to move like a wooden slatted fish which was achieved by creating gussets. A challenging structure, effectively a fabric engineering project, which succeeded in creating huge impact on stage.
